Mirah (“we”, “us”, the “App”) is an AI-powered digital closet and outfit planner for Muslim and modest-fashion women. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is stored, and the choices you have. We collect only what the App needs to work. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
This App is operated by Zain Zulfiqar, United States. Questions: zzainzulfiqar@gmail.com.
| Data | Why we collect it | Stored? |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | To create and secure your account (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password). | Yes, tied to your account. |
| Name | Shown in the App to personalize it. Optional. | Yes, tied to your account. |
| Photos of your clothing | The core feature: you photograph garments and our AI catalogs them into your closet. | Yes, in private cloud storage tied to your account. |
| Style & modesty preferences (hijab preference, regional/cultural background, coverage preference, embellishment, formality, body type) | To tailor outfit suggestions to how you actually dress. Some of these can imply religious or ethnic background; we use them only to generate your suggestions. | Yes, tied to your account. |
| Outfit & wear history | To power “what you’ve worn,” cost-per-wear stats, and to improve future suggestions. | Yes, tied to your account. |
| Approximate location | Only when you use Pro weather-aware styling: your location is used once, in the moment, to fetch current weather. | No. Used transiently to get weather and never stored or attached to your account. |
| Purchase history | To manage your subscription and Enhance credits, processed through Apple and RevenueCat. | Yes, tied to your account (we never see your card details — Apple handles payment). |
| Technical identifiers (an account ID) | To associate your data with your account under strict access controls. | Yes. |
| Feature usage events | Anonymous product analytics (e.g. “an outfit was generated”) via TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused service: no device identifiers, and any user reference is irreversibly hashed on your device before it is sent. | Yes, but not linked to your identity. |
We do not collect: contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, health data, or any data for advertising or cross-app tracking. The App contains no advertising SDKs; its only analytics is the anonymized, non-tracking service described above.
Your garment photos and preferences are sent to our secure backend, which calls AI model providers (currently Google’s Gemini) to detect garments and generate outfit suggestions. These providers process the data to return a result and, per their enterprise terms, do not use it to train their models. Your photos are never made public; closet images live in a private, per-user storage bucket accessible only with your authenticated session.
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase (Postgres database and private file storage). Every user-owned record is protected by row-level security so one account can never read another’s data. Payments are handled by Apple; subscription state is mirrored via RevenueCat. We retain your data for as long as your account exists.
If you are in a region with specific privacy rights (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA), you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data, and you may lodge a complaint with your local authority. We honor these requests at zzainzulfiqar@gmail.com.
Mirah is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
